The Atlas Foundation is a non-profit organization which provides medical resources, such as spay and neuter surgeries, medication administration and humane catch and release programs, to the street cats of Morocco. One city is selected by the organization each year to receive these resources, which are administered by hands-on Atlas Foundation volunteers as well as local veterinary offices. Our multidisciplinary team has decades of experience conducting these services locally in the New York City and Long Island area. The Atlas Foundation has been started in order to take this expertise to Morocco, which possesses a high population of street cats in desperate need of medical attention.
Our mission is to provide the cats of Morocco with quality medical care and spay and neuter surgery. Our goal is to positively impact future cat generations of this country, by controlling the population and increasing the health of existing cat colonies.
All donations will be monitored and administered directly by Atlas Foundation staff!
Spay and neuter surgeries is a top priority for our catch and release program. Surgeries are performed by local certified veterinarians with the highest quality standards
Treated cats will be examined by the top local vets in the area
Our organization attempts to help cats found in distress or in other emergency situations to the best of our ability
Prior to release, cats will receive the latest vaccinations.
GROOMING & CLEAN-UP
Cats are often found in a condition that will require cleaning prior to release
Dental exams and cleaning may be part of the wellness exam performed by veterinarians
